Nzinga “Zing” Gocking and Vidalina “Vee” Rodriguez were recently featured by Philadelphia Magazine for their late-spring wedding.

According to the article, Gocking and Rodriguez first met while working at Target in Abington 10 years ago.

Vee, a law enforcement officer, proposed to Zing, an account manager, on Thanksgiving in 2019.

“I did my best to keep it a secret until it was time for everyone to share what they were thankful for,” Vee told Philadelphia Magazine. “When it was our turn, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.”

They were married at Location 215, an industrial event venue and photo studio in Callowhill.
