Manor College names new head coach to baseball program, now in its third year

Manor College in Jenkintown recently announced that Charles “P.J.” Hackett has been named the new head coach of the baseball program, now in its third year.

Hackett was previously the Williamson College of the Trades Associate Head Baseball Coach during the 2009 through 2023 seasons. He was also the Lincoln University (located near Oxford, PA) Assistant Head Baseball Coach during the 2007 through 2008 seasons where he coached two Lincoln Hall of Famers.

“As soon as I sat down with Coach Hackett, I knew that he was the one that could put our program back on the map,” Director of Athletics John Dempster said. “He has the baseball knowledge to build our team and to move Manor Baseball forward. What I loved the most about P.J. was his humility and his team first attitude that will jump start this rebuild and get the Blue Jays in contention sooner than later.”

Hackett received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations and Business Administration minor from Elizabethtown College in 1993. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management Information Systems concentration from Goldey-Beacom College (Wilmington, Delaware) in 2002.

Hackett currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware. For more on his career, you can click here.

Manor begins its third season overall in 2024 and its first as an USCAA and ESAC member.
