Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Cheltenham Township Police Chief John P. Slavin announced today an investigation into the death of Brian Horter, 42, of Philadelphia, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Glenside just after midnight.
According to the report, Cheltenham police responded to the cemetery at 12:09am after receiving several 911 calls regarding a gunshot being heard in the cemetery. Officers arrived to find Horter suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Abington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, officials said.
