Man accused in fatal Cheltenham hit-and-run loses bid for change of venue

The Reporter has announced that the trial for Terrell Kirby Russell, a 27-year-old Philadelphia man, will take place in Montgomery County. Russell lost his bid for a change of venue on his assertion that the crash occurred in Philadelphia.

Russell faces charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, failure to give information and render aid, failure to give immediate notice of accident to police, careless driving, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence in connection with the Sept. 27, 2020, crash that claimed the life of 30-year-old Shanna Antoinette Hurdle.

Russell remains free on $50,000 unsecured bail while awaiting trial.
