La Salle College High School announced that its varsity lacrosse team will head today to the U.S. Lacrosse Training Center to face Dematha Catholic in the 12th annual “Fallen Heroes” game honoring the memories of Travis Manion ’99 and Brendan Looney.
“Manion and Looney were roommates at the Naval Academy who both gave the ultimate sacrifice and are buried together at Arlington National Cemetery,” their announcement said.
Following their passing, the Travis Manion Foundation was established. From the foundation’s website:
TMF strives to unite and strengthen communities by training, developing, and highlighting the role models that lead them. We develop programs, training opportunities, and events designed to empower veterans and families of the fallen, and then inspire them to pass on their values to the next generation and the community at large.
