LSCHS senior earns Eagle Scout ranking following Immaculate Conception Church project

Colin O’Donovan, a La Salle College High School senior and member of Jenkintown Scouts BSA Troop 201, passed his Board of Review on Tuesday to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

O’Donovan’s Eagle Scout Project was in service to the troop’s chartering organization, Immaculate Conception Church. He helped design and led the construction of a system of trolleys to store boxes beneath the stage at Immaculate’s Conahan Hall.

O’Donovan began scouting as a kindergartner in Pack 210. He will attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall.

“Colin is one of the most determined and persistent young men I think I have ever met, and I do not think he has ever willingly given up on a challenge,” committee member Greg Lester told Glenside Local. “I’m sure that will serve him well in life.”

Lester noted that five from Pack 210 have gone on to earn Eagle Scout honors “with one more on the way if he can get his paperwork in soon.”
