Representative Nancy Guenst announced today that a $50,000 state grant has been awarded to Lower Moreland Township to help redesign the Huntingdon Valley Library, located at 625 Red Lion Road.

The grant, awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, will support the library’s efforts to engage an architect and develop preliminary plans for its proposed redesign.

“I am pleased to see the state investing in Huntingdon Valley Library as it looks toward the future,” Guenst said. “Our libraries are essential community resources, providing residents with access to books, technology, educational programs and so much more. This funding will help the library take an important first step toward creating a space that can better serve our community for years to come.”

The Huntingdon Valley Library is an independent nonprofit organization that is supported by a dedicated Lower Moreland Library tax, according to the Lower Moreland Township’s website. For more on the library, you can visit its website.
