The Lower Moreland Police Department announced an uptick in the use of counterfeit bills to purchase goods.
The department asks business owners to be vigilant and check the bills you are receiving, and to consider accepting other forms of payment.
“If you come across a counterfeit bill, please make a report with your local police department. LMPD does offer a safe spot for conducting online sales here at our police station,” the department said. “Please call and notify the station before meeting with someone so we can have someone monitor the transaction via cameras.”
