Lower Moreland police release details of man arrested for assault, drug possession, 2 prior arrest warrants

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Rob Dalton, 46, for physically assaulting another individual and being in possession of drugs.

According to the report, officers responded to the area of Pine and Byberry roads in Huntingdon Valley on May 18 for the report of a physical fight between two individuals.

The victim told police that while arguing with his friend, later identified as Dalton, he stood up and grabbed the victim by the throat.

Officers approached Dalton who admitted to grabbing the victim by the neck. Further investigation revealed Dalton had two arrest warrants out of Delaware County while also being in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was then taken into custody.

His charges are as follows:

  • (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A16 INTENTIONAL POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY
  • (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A32 USE / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
  • (1) COUNT OF 2709 A1 HARASSMENT/STRIKE SHOVE KICK ETC.
