Lower Moreland police name Samuels ‘Officer of the Month’ for Wawa thief arrest

The Lower Moreland Police Department has named Jamie Samuels their “Officer of the Month” for her efforts in apprehending a man who had robbed a Wawa in Huntingdon Valley in early December.

The suspect later admitted to stealing $1,733.28 worth of cigarettes. He also had several active warrants from other jurisdictions, police said.

“Because of Officer Samuels’ quick thinking and careful observations, she was able to identify the suspect of the retail theft and stop this from occurring and victimizing our local store again,” the Department said.
