The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Jaleel Parker, 30, who is accused of driving without a license and possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.

According to the report, a silver Chevrolet Volt was stopped on Huntingdon Pike in Huntingdon Valley for a suspended registration and an active bench warrant for the registered owner, later identified as Parker, on April 9 at 1:38am.

Police detected “a strong odor of fresh marijuana” and found Parerk with a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license. He admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in the trunk and consented to a search of the vehicle which revealed a mason jar containing marijuana and a glass methamphetamine-style smoking pipe.

Parker was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and drug-related charges.

His charges are below:

• (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A31I POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA
• (2) COUNTS OF 780-113 A32 USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
• (1) COUNT OF DRIV WHILE OPER PRIV SUSP OR REVOKED
• (1) COUNT OF OPER AFTER REG IS SUSP
