Lower Moreland middle school choir performs at Wells Fargo Center, live on B101 after winning $5K Christmas competition

The Lower Moreland School District’s Murray Avenue Middle School LionVoice Choir recently received a $5,000 check for winning the annual Christmas Choir Competition K-8 grade division hosted by B101 WBEB Philadelphia.

The Huntingdon Valley school’s winning choir performed “Santa Tell Me” prior to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Ghosts of Christmas Eve performance on December 17 at the Wells Fargo Center.

On Monday morning, LionVoice also performed “Santa Tell Me” live on-air at B101.

The competition featured a K-8 and a 9-12 division. Out of 125 entries–the highest number of entries in the contest’s 15-year history–nine semi-finalists were chosen from each division to compete. Listeners voted for their favorite choir on B101Philly.com from November 27 – December 7.
