Lower Moreland grad launches ERAs Health & Longevity, new direct primary care practice in Blue Bell

Jennifer Hwang, DO, a Huntingdon Valley native and a 2005 graduate of Lower Moreland High School, soft launched ERAs Health & Longevity of Blue Bell on August 18.

The new direct primary care practice is membership-based, meaning patients pay an annual fee. The facility has two doors: one for mid-life adults who want to stay ahead of their health, and another for older, aging adults.

Dr. Hwang said her motivation to focus on both mid-life and geriatric patients stems from her 10 years working with Main Line Health.

“As I worked more and more with older adults, I began to learn the trajectory mid-lifers were going to be on. I always wondered if they had met a doctor focused on prevention and longevity, could we have changed that trajectory?” she said. “I decided to build a practice centered on those aspects, specifically targeting adult children of geriatric patients. I want to optimize their health so they’re functionally independent and strong into their older years.”

“Your 40s and 50s is a critical stage and can largely determine your health later on in life. If you aren’t exercising, you’re set up for having chronic conditions down the road,” she said. “We look at biomarkers to come up with a plan to change the direction of your health.”

A mother of two little girls, Dr. Hwang said she’s been helping her immigrant parents since childhood.

“I live in a multigenerational household. I feel like they’re my patients, and I think I gravitate towards my ERAs patients because I’m in that group,” she said.

Dr. Hwang said she was drawn to Blue Bell for its proximity.

“I thought it was a good midway point from the Main Line to Abington, Jenkintown, and Huntingdon Valley,” she said.

The practice opened to the public on September 1.

Dr. Hwang is a board-certified family and geriatric medicine physician with a research background in the microbiome from her time at UPenn. She was named a Main Line Top Doc in 2025 and holds a life coaching certification and a palliative care communication certification.
