The Lower Moreland Township School District has announced that it will close its schools early on Thursday, November 15th.

No word yet regarding any changes to the school day tomorrow in the Abington, Cheltenham Township, Jenkintown, Springfield Township, and Upper Dublin School Districts.

“Due to the predicted inclement weather during the school day, schools will be dismissing early on Thursday, November 15th,” according to a statement from the Lower Moreland Township School District.  “This will allow buses, student drivers and parents picking up students an earlier and safer opportunity to navigate roadways.”

The statement indicates that Lower Moreland High School will dismiss students at 10:55 AM, Murray Avenue School at 11:30 AM, and Pine Road Elementary School at 12:15 PM.

“Lunch will not be served at the High School or at Murray Avenue School,” the statement continued.  “Breakfast will be available to purchase as usual.  Lunch will be served at Pine Road Elementary School.”

The Lower Moreland Township School District also announced that “All after-school activities will be cancelled, and all three of our schools will be closed to outside groups and activities throughout the afternoon and evening.”
