Lower Moreland police arrest 2 males for stealing, cashing multiple checks from Huntingdon Valley business

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced the arrests of Andrew Capponi, Jr., 28, and Jason Kuepper, 37, for stealing checks from a business on the 300 block of Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley in October 2024.

The business owner reported to police that several checks were stolen from their accounting office on October 17, 2024. Video footage showed a suspect entering the office on October 16, 2024, and exiting with stolen checks.

An investigation revealed that Capponi, Jr., was a former employee of the business and had resigned in 2022. Further investigation revealed that Kuepper had cashed one of the stolen checks.

On October 21, 2024, the victim was contacted by United Check Cashing about another stolen check presented by Capponi, Jr. and Kuepper. On November 27, 2024, Capponi, Jr. attempted to cash yet another stolen check at Cottman Check Cashing. The transaction was denied and the check was not returned to Capponi, police said.
