Longtime owner of Hibbert’s Engraving in Glenside passed away, store to close in January

Albert “Bill” Hibbert, longtime co-owner of Hibbert’s Engraving in Glenside, passed away December 10. He was 68 years old.

Mr. Hibbert was also active within the Glenside Chamber of Commerce, his obituary said.

The Downtown Glenside Foundation made an announcement on behalf of his passing, noting that his store “has been a staple in Downtown Glenside for decades, in providing trophy’s, plaques, engraved items, office supplies, and hard-to-find cds and dvds.”

According to their announcement, Hibbert’s Engraving will be closing at the end of January.

“They are working to clear out merchandise, and presently have all regular marked items at 20% off. If you need any office supplies, want a special album or DVD that you never purchased, now is the time to stop in and help them clear the store of inventory merchandise,” the DGF said.

The family business has been in operation since 1927.
