Residents for a Sustainable Cheltenham and Friends of Tookany Creek Trail are holding a meeting called “Trailblazers Unite: Advocating for Walkability & Trail Expansion in Cheltenham Township” on Tuesday, December 19 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at iThrive Wyncote (145 Greenwood Ave Suite 400).
The meeting is the first of a three-part series and aims to discuss “walkability and trail development in Cheltenham, and how residents can actively engage with commissioners, township management, residents and partners,” the Facebook event said.
The meeting is free to all residents but organizers are requiring attendees to register here.
The meeting’s agenda:
Meet and greet, Introductions, Gather and share info on participants, wards, commissioners, partners (15 minutes)
Updates (30 minutes)
– Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety in the region – Patrick Monahan, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia
– History of and update on Trails in Cheltenham – John Raisch, resident and township activist, EAC Ex-officio
Workshops (20 minutes)
– Small working groups by Ward
– Group summaries
– Wrap up and next steps (25 minutes)
