The Edge Hill Fire Company of Abington Township announced that multiple crews were dispatched to a second alarm fire with reported entrapment at the Blair Mill West apartments in Horsham Township on the evening of Thursday, March 5.
“Ladder 400 responded with a crew of six as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT),” their post said. “Upon arrival, the crew stood by as RIT and later assisted operations with secondary searches and overhaul as crews worked to bring the incident under control.”
Ladder 400 remained on location for approximately two hours supporting the operation, the post said.
“Squad 88-1 made the response with 6 members, advancing a hoseline from Engine 95 to the 2nd floor,” the Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 said in a post. “Rescue 88 with 5 members responded to this box as the Rapid Intervention Team. Chief 88 also responded, assuming an interior supervisor position.”

The Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 noted that the night “ended with a triple pull to Horsham” as units were also operating at an unrelated house fire in the 200 block of Running Water Court in Horsham.
Tower 88 with 6 members responded to the house fire.
“Our crews were in service until approximately 1AM,” the post said.
