The following announcement was submitted to Glenside Local by the Cheltenham Education Foundation:

Don’t miss your chance to enter to win more than $1,200 in gift cards and items donated from local businesses while also supporting the Cheltenham Education Foundation’s third annual Race For Education happening on April 11th, 2026!  To enter the raffle, donate or register here for the spring race by 5 PM on December 19th. 

If you are thinking about participating in the officially timed 5k race or 2 mile walk along the Tookany Parkway, now’s the perfect time to register since  you’ll be registering at discounted early-bird rates AND get your chance to win the raffle.  Not sure if you want to do the race? No problem- you can donate any amount at the race site to support education in Cheltenham and be entered into the raffle!  

All proceeds support grants for teachers to enhance educational programming in Cheltenham School District and scholarships for the class of 2026. 

Raffle entries are dollar-for-dollar—each dollar donated or paid toward registration earns one entry. The more you donate and/or the more people you register, the more chances you get!
