With Saturday’s soggy conditions temporarily behind greater Glenside, forecasters are now calling for several inches of rain on Tuesday, January 9 and Wednesday, January 10.
The National Weather Service is predicting a “larger and more powerful storm” with “the potential to bring widespread 3+ inches of rain.”
Significant river flooding will be possible if the storm stays on track.
“Confidence is increasing in an impactful storm moving through our area next week, bringing heavy rain. With a saturated surface and elevated river levels, moderate to major river flooding is possible, especially within the Passaic and Raritan basins,” the National Weather Service said.

Accuweather’s Glenside forecast for Tuesday: “Mild with rain, becoming heavy; breezy in the afternoon; flash flooding likely at night”.
