The latest update from forecasters calls for 2-3 inches of rain in greater Glenside beginning Sunday morning or afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook with cautions for flooding, given the rainfall our area received last weekend, some of which still hasn’t been fully absorbed along poor-drainage areas and near vulnerable small creeks and streams.
Heavy rain will continue through Monday afternoon with strong wind gusts likely, forecasters said.
Flight delays are also possible.
Accuweather’s Sunday night forecast predicts “Windy and mild with rain, heavy at times; areas of flooding and difficult travel likely” with 39mph wind gusts 2.00 inches of rain.
Accuweather’s Monday forecast predicts “Cloudy, breezy and mild with rain, mainly early in the day; rain can lead to slower travel and reduced visibility” with 27mph gusts and 0.47 inches of rain.
