The LaMott Fire Company (Cheltenham Township) is looking to hire a part-time and a full-time Firefighter Driver/Operator.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years old at time of application
- Three (3) years Firefighting and one (1) year experience as an engine company Driver/Operator
- Pass a PA State Police Background Check https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp
- Pass a PA Child Abuse History Clearance https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
- Valid Driver’s License
- Firefighter I Pro Board Certification or equivalent
- Hazmat Ops Certification within last 12 months in accordance with NFPA 472
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Pump Ops I, Driver/Operator – Pumper Certification, or equivalent
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) for Fire Apparatus

In related news, the Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department received firefighting gear from White Rose Safety, LLC to replace the gear worn by those who responded to the SPS Technologies fire in February.
The order included boots, helmets, gloves, and hoods, the post said.
