The La Salle College High School boys’ soccer team took home another District 12-4A championship on Thursday, November 2.
The Explorers defeated Northeast High School 2-0, just one week after winning the Philadelphia Catholic League championship over Father Judge High School.
“Coming into this season we were looking for the PCL and the district,” Finn Murray, a junior midfielder, said. “Here we go – we got it. It’s a great feeling.”
According to the Times Herald, the district title is the program’s sixth in the last eight years and secures the team a spot in the PIAA-4A playoffs, which start Tuesday, November 7.
In related news, the Explorers’ football team took down Father Judge High School in the district quarterfinal, and the boys’ cross country team finished out their season by taking second place at the PIAA state championships in Hershey on Saturday, November 4.
