La Salle College High School is one victory from a second PIAA state baseball championship in four years, and the Explorers’ lacrosse team is playing tonight in the state semifinals.
The baseball team is on a 13-game win streak after Monday’s 10-4 win over District 2 champ Hazleton. The 24-3 Explorers will play in Thursday’s Class 6A title game against District 3 champion Hempfield at Penn State at 4:30pm.
“It’s what you work for all year,” senior outfielder Liam Hawley told PhillyBurbs.com. “We got the PCL (champion)ship. Now we just got to get one more game.”
