Knight’s Gym, a personal training studio at 25 S Easton Road in Glenside, is hosting a soft opening on Saturday, January 6.
Owner and head trainer Tommie Knight began transferring his gym in the East Falls section of Philadelphia in July after recognizing an opportunity in Glenside. Six months later, the former motorcycle showcase is packed with state-of-the-art equipment, from treadmills to free weights to machines to specialty items.
“We want to thank everyone for welcoming us here. We look forward to helping out the community and building long-lasting relationships,” he said. “We want to help people be more health-conscious and fit, which includes healthy eating and hydrating.”
The space offers group sessions and a soon-to-be Zen-style basement area for massages, Chiropractics, yoga, recovery, stretching, and body maintenance.
The soft opening comes with free day passes. If you aren’t able to make it, keep an eye out for one in the mail.
“It’s an intimate environment here. Our culture is supportive from our clients to our trainers,” Chanae Knight, Tommie’s wife, said. “It can become emotional, especially you see someone get off of their medications and get back on track in terms of their health. We try our best to support individuals on that journey.”
The fitness studio is open Monday through Saturday:
- Monday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
- Tuesday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
- Wednesday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
- Thursday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
