Tuesday, November 4 is Election Day, and I am asking for your vote for Abington Township Tax Collector. Since being unanimously appointed in January, I’ve been working hard to serve and help my fellow Township neighbors, starting by becoming a PA Qualified Tax Collector. I am a finance attorney with over 20 years of experience, and in addition to my law degree, I have a Master’s in Business Administration. I served as the Montgomery County Controller for nine years, during which time I audited local tax collectors, judges, and county offices and led my team in effective and efficient governmental work as MontCo’s “fiscal watchdog.” I’m a volunteer attorney representing children in the dependency court systems. I’m a mom and a wife and a volunteer softball and baseball coach. I was born and raised in Abington and educated in Abington’s public schools, and I am proud to see my three children being educated and nurtured in the same schools that helped make me who I am today.
I have served on the Board of Briar Bush and currently serve of the Board of Family Promise MontCo PA, a local nonprofit that assists people in our community who face hunger and homelessness. In fact, I’m one of the founding members of the Turkey Drive that is happening right now in our community, and that has helped thousands of people in Abington and beyond over the last decade.
I love this community—my family’s home—deeply, and I am grateful to live and serve here. I hope that you’ll make your voice heard by voting for me, Karen Geld Sanchez on Tuesday, November 4.
