A brand new sign in Keswick Village promises something fresh and healthy coming soon. The new juice bar will be called Crate & Press, and will serve fresh squeezed juices, salads, and vitamin infused drinks.

We spoke with Joe the owner, who hopes for a September opening once he’s finished ironing out unexpected kinks in the construction process.

Joe comes from a pizza-making family. His godfather owns the Pizza Box, he told us, and his own family owned a pizza shop for years. However, a life in pizza didn’t exactly help him lead a healthy lifestyle.

“I was up to 265 pounds, and I’m supposed to weight 170!” He started sampling other juice bars in the area, got fit while doing so, and decided he’d bring the concept to Glenside.
