J’s GourAmaze Fine Foods and Baked Goods in Elkins Park will host a “super soft” opening on Thursday, July 20 beginning at 4:00pm.

Owner/chef Jay Howard is anticipating a grand opening in mid-September. He took over the former Elkins Perk storefront at 7905 High School Road in January after announcing that he was leaving his former location at 6441 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia.

The store will feature a Gourmet Shoppe, a Kitchen/Culinary Institute, a Cooking & Baking School, and an Artisanal Bakery. Proposed days and hours of operation will be Thursdays 4:00pm-11:00pm, Fridays/Saturdays 4:00pm-12:00am, and Sundays 1:00pm-9:00pm.

A former stage magician, Chef Jay founded J’s GourAmaze in 1993. His company’s mission statement is to handcraft delicious and unique products from around the globe known as The “Ate” Wonders of the World.
