Chef Jay Howard, owner of J’s GourAmaze Fine Foods and Baked Goods in Elkins Park, will be reopening to the public this fall with two new arms of his business called “Treat Street” and “Amuseum”.
Themed “Munchies, Merriment, and Magic”, 7905 High School Road will now be three stores in one. Howard’s famous baked goods will be complemented by boardwalk and carnival fun foods like funnel cake and corn dogs, funny jokes and novelty items, magic tricks, and rare old-fashioned candies and treats as well.
“I want to bring back these items to a world that I feel desperately needs more laughter and magic,” Howard, formerly the owner of Wanderland Magic and Costumes on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philly from 1979-2004, said.
We will be in touch with details and grand reopening updates. Stay tuned.
