Jim Clibanoff, Cheltenham grad, promoted to VP of Scouting for the Denver Nuggets

Jim Clibanoff, a 1985 Cheltenham High School graduate and lifelong basketball enthusiast, was recently promoted to Vice President of Scouting for the NBA’s Denver Nuggets after serving the previous eight seasons as the Director of Scouting.

After graduating from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 1995, “Clib” ran a private college basketball scouting service for future NBA players for 17 years.  As a talent scout, he made regular appearances as a draft analyst on NBA TV and offered his thoughts on future prospects during other media interviews.

In September of 2013, Jim was named “Director of Scouting” for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. He is well known in both college and professional basketball circles for his dedication, work ethic, and attention to precision and detail.

Jim was instrumental in bringing two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic to the United States and Denver from Serbia.
