Jenkintown’s Shauna Rivera & “Swoop” head featured on CBS News

Shauna Rivera, longtime Eagles fan and a crossing guard in Jenkintown, was recently visited by a CBS News team to talk about her recent uniform addition: the head of Philadelphia Eagles’ mascot, Swoop.

Jenkintown residents said that Swoop appearing on the West Avenue crosswalk has been turning heads and getting people excited for Super Bowl LVII.

Shauna said she wears the head in honor of her late father, a loyal Eagles fan, and received Swoop years ago as a gift from her husband.

Jenkintown police chief Tom Scott said she asked permission to wear the Swoop helmet Friday, and that there’s been a buzz around town since then.
