Jenkintown High School’s girls lacrosse team, the regular season Bicentennial Athletic Conference Champion, was recently highlighted by PA Prep Live.
From the article:
Led by fifth-year Head Coach Bob Cummings, the Drakes completed an undefeated conference season for the third consecutive season. Their most notable achievement came when they defeated AAA Abington High School, a much larger school. Coach Cummings attributes their success to the program’s growth and the quality of his student-athletes.
“[We have] grown from 23 players to 40 players since I began. They are wonderful kids involved in many other school activities, but they are learning to love the game of lacrosse and want to be a part of this team.”
The Bicentennial League recently announced its 2023 Girls Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and special awards, and many from Jenkintown were honored.
Bryn McCall, Gabby Ottaviano, Anna Montroy, Karolyn Mitchell, and Liv Spoerl were named to the First Team.
Tighlie Steuber, Julia Walsh, and Lily O’Brien were named to the Second Team. Savannah Luig was named an Honorable Mention.
