Jenkintown Scouts BSA Troop 201 congratulates newest Eagle Scout, Bob Gabage Memorial Scout Award recipient

Jenkintown Scouts BSA Troop 201 honored two scouts this week: Noah Schott and Teddy Currano-Allen.

Noah Schott

Schott recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout for his gaga pit project at Jenkintown Elementary School.

“He has been an amazing young man throughout, and we are grateful for the time he’s spent with us,” the troop said in a post.

Teddy Currano-Allen

Currano-Allen has been named the 2025 recipient of the Bob Gabage Memorial Scout Award, given annually to a rising scout “who exhibits a desire to lead by example and strives to embody the Scout Oath and Scout Law,” the troop said in a post.

The post continues:

Teddy was one of a handful of great Scouts nominated by the Troop 201 Scoutmasters. The Troop Committee selected Teddy because he exemplifies the Scout Spirit. He is a leader and mentor to younger Scouts and a stalwart favorite of the older Scouts. He is, in fact, a great guy.

A lifelong Scouter, Bob Gabage was the founder of both Troop 201 and Pack 210 (as well as our former Sea Scout crew). He was a champion of Catholic Scouting and very active in the Council as well as in the Order of the Arrow.

Whenever we are out and about in uniform, some Scout, former Scout, or current Scouter will come up to us, notice our custom Jenkintown shoulder patch, and share a memory of Bob. He was a leader, mentor, and friend to many.

He continues to inspire. And his legacy lives on in Scouts like Teddy Currano-Allen.

2025 also saw an Eagle Scout project completed by Niko Barnett, who constructed new raised garden beds in front of Jenkintown Borough Hall.
