The Jenkintown School District announced that three open listening sessions will be held next week as part of the search process for the district’s new superintendent.
The sessions will be held via Zoom on the following days and times:
- Monday, January 12th at 8:00am https://zoom.us/my/sedling
- Monday, January 12th at 4:00pm https://zoom.us/my/sedling
- Thursday, January 15th at 7:00pm https://zoom.us/my/sedling

The Jenkintown School Board launched a survey in December regarding the district’s search for a new superintendent.
In September, the board announced current superintendent Dr. Jill Takacs’ retirement plans at the end of her term, which concludes on August 31, 2026. In August, Walkable Jenkintown shared a retirement letter written by former principal Dr. Christopher Janke, which included a scathing review of Dr. Takacs’ performance.
