The Abington, Jenkintown, Cheltenham, and Upper Moreland school districts announced that they will close on Monday, January 6 due to the forecast.

According to Jenkintown’s post, the closure “will count as the first of two regularly scheduled built-in snow days for the school year” and will not include virtual learning. Abington’s notification includes a link to inclement weather procedures. Upper Moreland’s and Cheltenham’s posts note that all after-school activities are canceled.

From Cheltenham’s post:

Administration will continue to monitor weather conditions, but anticipates returning to normal operations on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Any deviation from normal operations will be communicated through our usual channels prior to the start of the school day on Tuesday.
