Jenkintown resident, Emmy award-winning producer seeking locals for new video channel ‘Paths of Desire’

Pasquale “Pat” DeFazio, a Jenkintown resident, Emmy award-winning producer, editor and director, and a partner of the production company FRANK, is looking to launch a new video channel titled “Paths of Desire.”

The channel intends to feature a collection of autobiographical stories. DeFazio is looking for Greater Glenside locals with “really interesting stories about the paths they’ve carved for themselves.”

“They say everyone is the hero of their own story, and this project attempts to document those stories,” he said.

According to DeFazio, “desire paths”—footpaths that depart from the usual dusty trails—are everywhere if you look for them.

“They are paths worn out by people treading on them and represent a shorter, better way to get from one point to the other. It’s the perfect metaphor for what I am trying to document,” he said. “I want to build a library of stories to live on YouTube and other platforms so people can hear other people’s unique paths of desire, and maybe get inspiration from them.”

While the project is still in its infancy, DeFazio hopes to start filming in the near future. All he needs is a few minutes of your time.

In related news, DeFazio is also a a guitarist with the Jenkintown-based Camera Thief. His daughter, Celia “Dee”, is a 2024 graduate of Jenkintown High School and a freshman at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia majoring in Illustration and Conceptual Design.

She released her first single titled “Tympanum” in October 2023. The track was first written acoustically and then arranged and recorded with “Dee,” her father, and her uncle.

“She’s doing amazingly well. She is just loving Savannah,” DeFazio said.
