Jenkintown Police

Jenkintown Police had a busy week last week and wish to remind everyone that they never call for donations and do not have a separate “police lodge”.

  • Disturbance/Fight in Progress:  5-21-19, 6:45pm:  Police dispatched to the area of York Road and Wyncote Road for a report of a fight in progress, as a result of a vehicle accident. On location, accident and fight was unfounded. However, Devon Alexander Drake, 25, of the 2400 block of Darien Street, Philadelphia was operating a vehicle and one of the parties involved in the incident. Drake was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for blood draw, as a result of failing several field sobriety test.
  • Fraud/Harassing Phone Calls:  5-22-19, 8:19pm: A resident in the 800 block of West Avenue reported receiving numerous phone calls from a caller claiming to be from “Jenkintown Police Lodge” and asking for donations. Jenkintown Police never calls for donations and Jenkintown Police do not have a separate police lodge.  Resident was advised.  Detective unit investigating.  
  • Disturbance/Disorderly Conduct:  5-24-19, 11:14PM: Police responded to the 400 block of Maple Street for a report of a loud party and disturbance outside. On police arrival, officers reported hearing loud noise from the second floor apartment. Officers made contact with the resident, who agreed to keep the noise down. Police were dispatched a second time to the same residence for a report of a male and female shouting and cursing on the front porch. Jared Michael Jasinski, 29, of 415 Maple Street second floor apt. was cited for disorderly conduct. Erin Marie Weiler, 24 of the same address was also cited for disorderly conduct.  
  • Theft:  5-25-19, 7:03pm: Resident in the 500 block of Shoemaker Avenue reported the theft of several items from his house. Residents girlfriend had recently moved out, resident suspects she took the items. Follow up by Detective Unit.  
  • Theft:  5-25-19, 8:19pm: Resident in the 400 block of Cedar Street reported the theft of his social security check. Postal authorities and Detective Unit investigating.
