Jenkintown Music Theatre has announced auditions for Ragtime the Musical on Sunday, December 1 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm at Jenkintown High School.
Callbacks by invitation will be given on December 2. The musical’s performance will take place on April 4, 5,6, 10, 11, and 12.
From the show’s description:
Ragtime brings to life the stories of three distinct groups—African Americans, upper-class White Americans, and Eastern European immigrants—as they navigate a rapidly changing society in New York City in search of the American dream.

From the audition’s “Seeking” description:
Ragtime is deeply rooted in the experiences of individuals from various racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. We are looking for a diverse, talented, and energetic cast to bring this story to life. Must be able to sing and move well. There are 2 roles for actors age 10-12. All other roles including ensemble 18+. All roles are open and non-paid.
