Jenkintown Library to host discussion of SPS fire on March 10 | Borough Hall to host discussion of proposed parking ordinance on March 12

Community leaders will hold a public community meeting on Monday, March 10 at 7:00pm at the Jenkintown Library (460 York Road).  

Residents are invited to discuss the SPS Technologies fire and related concerns with Senator Art Haywood and the offices of State Representatives Napoleon Nelson and Benjamin Sanchez.

A representative from Governor Josh Shapiro’s office and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection have also been invited to attend.

Proposed Parking Ordinance

In related news, Jenkintown Borough Council will host a special public community meeting on Wednesday, March 12 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at Borough Hall (700 Summit Avenue) to discuss the possible advertisement of an ordinance amending the entirety of Articles III and IV of Chapter 172 of the Jenkintown Code relating to permit parking and payment parking areas and related parking provisions. 

A copy of the full text of the draft Ordinance may be examined or obtained at the Borough Municipal Building, officials said. A Zoom link for this meeting will be available by request and the meeting will be shown on the borough’s Facebook live feed.
