Jenkintown HS cross-country wins districts, heading to PIAA State championships

The Jenkintown High School boys’ cross-country team has won their seventh District 1A championship and will advance to the PIAA State championships in Hershey next weekend. Senior Oliver Michell finished first overall with a time of 15:21, a personal record. Juniors Jesse Patterson, Denis Tulin, and John Byler finished within the District’s top-five fastest times (second, third, and fifth, respectively).

From the girls’ cross-country team, freshman Hana Nelson took home an individual District 1A championship with a time of 20:58. Junior Maeve Bellew finished in 10th place, and will advance with Nelson to the PIAA State championships.
