Matt Meyers, a Jenkintown High School graduate (Class of 2000) and current president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, has been named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Most Admired CEOs” for 2025.
Meyers has been the college’s president for four years, serving as executive vice president prior. From The Journal’s description, which included a Q&A:
Pennsylvania Institute of Technology President Matt Meyers has transformed the college through strategic enrollment growth, financial management and fundraising initiatives. Under his leadership, the Delaware County school attracted the largest incoming class in its 71-year history with 342 students starting classes in fall 2024, a 44% increase over the previous year. Total enrollment at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology has increased 55% from 906 students in 2020 to 1,405 students in 2024. The growth of the student body under Meyers has boosted the school’s finances. Total institutional revenue for fiscal year 2025 surpassed $20 million, a more than 50% increase from $13.2 million five years ago. Meyers has also expanded the college’s fundraising efforts, launching a formal office of advancement. After never raising more than $60,000 in an academic year prior to Meyers’ presidency, Pennsylvania Institute of Technology brought in over $550,000 in foundation grants and individual gifts in 2024-2025.
Meyers received a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and an MBA from Western Governors University. At Jenkintown High School, he served on the student council, class council, and yearbook committee.
Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, in Media, is an independent, non-profit college offering bachelor degrees in nursing and general studies; associate degrees in healthcare, cannabis studies, behavioral health, practical nursing, psychology, and physical therapy assistant, diagnostic medical sonography, and professional certification in practical nursing, and clinical medical assisting.
