The Jenkintown Drakes went into the District 1-2 subregional final on Thursday with a record of 7-4. Their opponents, Lackawanna Trail, came to the field with the same record, but left with another notch in their “W” column.

It wasn’t the evening the Drakes had hoped for. Away games are always tough, and away games deep into the postseason are even tougher. The scoreboard at Lions Pride Stadium ended with a 40-7 win for the Lions.

Still, the Drakes finish their year with a handful of admirable achievements, most notably last week’s PIAA District 1A title over Morrisville.

Individual achievements included running back Keegan Eichert breaking into the 1,000+ yards club.
