The Jenkintown Food Cupboard and Jenkintown United Methodist Church hosted its annual Jenkinfest on Saturday, August 26 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The church parking lot offered bouncy houses, a water slide, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, raffles, and sidewalk chalk.
“There was truly a feel-good sense of comradery, and it was a great way for various parts of the community to connect,” Karen Gradel-Klos, a JFC Volunteer said.
The event showcased three live bands, numerous local business vendors as well as community partners offering helpful information about services available to those in need. Smokin Hot Butts, served donations of pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and fixings that were available at no cost. Other snacks and soft drinks were supplied free of charge as well.
