Jenkintown Dance Arts (JDA) will open registration for Summer Dance Camps on Thursday, February 1.

They are also hosting a new class, “Children’s and Adults Flamenco and Spanish Dance”, which begins February 21 at their new Wyncote location.

From their announcement:

Dancers will be busy stamping, clapping, and playing castanets (provided by instructor) as they learn the fundamentals of Spanish Dance and Flamenco. Dancers will be introduced to basic Spanish arms, footwork and rhythms, Sevillanas Combinations, using fans and shawls. We will explore some basic rhythms, Spanish popular music and work with improvisation.

Dance Attire: tights, leotard, and skirt with hard soled shoes, and boys/men can dress in a t-shirt and sweat pants.
