Jenkintown Borough hall will be closed from this afternoon, Tuesday, April 16th until 8:00 AM Thursday, April 18th. Today, the structural engineer visited the site is completing their final analysis of the demolition at 610 Summit Avenue as it applies to the common wall with Borough hall. 

The property owner of 610 Summit Avenue has been responsive and has communicated to the Borough their intent to do everything possible to make the site safe and complete the demolition expeditiously. The demolition of the common wall is scheduled to be completed by the end of this Friday. 

Postponed Meetings

Due to Borough Hall being closed, the scheduled Design Review Board and Planning Commission meetings for this evening, April 16th and tomorrow evening’s Administration & Finance and Building, Zoning & Revitalization Committee meetings will be re-scheduled. Notification updates will be issued as more information becomes available. 

Jenkintown Police Department Patrol and calls for service will not be affected. If you need to speak to an officer call 215-884-1200 or if an emergency call 911.
