Tommy Walsh, a senior on the Jenkintown boys’ basketball team, has been nominated for SBLive Pennsylvania’s high school Athlete of the Week for February 4-10.

From their summary on Walsh:
Had a pair of double-doubles this past week, with 18 points and 14 rebounds against Delaware County Christian and 32 points and 11 rebounds against Lehigh Valley Academy. He also had 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a win over Liguori Academy.
Walsh recently scored his 1,000th career point in a 62-42 win over Lehigh Valley High School on Tuesday, February 6. He finished with a career-high 32 points, boosting his overall total to 1,030, 7th all-time for the boys’ program.
The Drakes will take on Calvary Christian Academy in the first round of the Bicentennial Athletic League (BAL) playoffs on Tuesday, February 12. If they win, they’ll play again tomorrow in the BAL semifinal.
They will take on Chester Charter School for the Arts in the first round of districts on Tuesday, February 20.
