Jefferson Abington nurses joined other Jefferson Health nurses from around the county to help more than 400 families in need during the holiday season as part of Lutheran Settlement House’s annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway.

Staff members from Abington, Jefferson Bucks, Jefferson Einstein Montgomery, Jefferson Frankford, Jefferson Lansdale and Jefferson Torresdale collected 60+ boxes full of donations to make holiday meals.

The donations were dropped off and organized at Lutheran Settlement House in preparation for distribution later this month. Lutheran Settlement House is expected to support more than 400 families through this year’s Thanksgiving meal giveaway. This is Jefferson Health’s seventh year supporting this annual holiday tradition.

Lutheran Settlement House is a non-profit that provides counseling, food, housing support, and education to survivors of domestic violence, families experiencing homelessness, older adults, and people who are food insecure across the Philadelphia region.
