Nurses and other staff at Jefferson Abington hospital joined together with Jefferson Lansdale hospital to organize a donation drive to benefit unhoused individuals suffering from substance use disorder.
In assembly line fashion, volunteers packed blessing bags for Angels in Motion, a Philly-based nonprofit outreach organization that connects with people suffering from substance use disorder.
More than 750 bags were assembled. Each bag included snacks, notes of encouragement and helpful resources.
Organizers expressed appreciation to everyone who made this Nursing Community Service Project possible.
