Jefferson Abington Hospital’s maternity care was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as “High Performing,” the highest level that a hospital can receive.

As part of its methodology, U.S. News & World Report evaluates hospitals based on objective quality measures, including C-section rates in lower-risk pregnancies, newborn complication rates, breastfeeding rates, birthing-friendly practices, episiotomy rates and other key metrics. 495 hospitals earned “High Performing” status this year, including many of Jefferson Health’s branch hospitals.

Jefferson Abington earned the “High Performing” designation in 2024 as well.
