Studios LLC in Jenkintown about a past experience visiting a
spectacular location for a peaceful walk. After further discussions it
was agreed this would be the next location for their photowalk
project. The following summary was written by Tiffany and provides

frame with an official date/rain date to be announced in early May.
“Around this time last year, I spent a day exploring BAPS Swaminarayan
Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey, and honestly, I’m still in
awe. This stunning Hindu mandir (temple) is a place where beauty,
devotion, and peace come together.
From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the architecture and I
was instantly greeted by a forty-nine-foot golden murti (sacred
statue) symbolizing Swaminarayan’s forty-nine years on Earth. The
temple itself is made of intricately carved marble, and the
craftsmanship is just next level. Every column, archway, and detail
tells a story — and seeing it all come together in person was nothing
short of magical.
I decided to take the guided tour, which ended up being one of the
best parts of the experience. It gave me so much insight into the
meaning behind the designs, the incredible amount of work and devotion
that went into building the temple, and the traditions it represents.
I learned that volunteers from all over the world helped create this
masterpiece — something that really stuck with me.
One of my favorite moments was standing at the bottom of the grand
staircase, looking up at the temple framed by a perfect blue sky. I
had to stop and capture it — it felt almost surreal.
Walking through the mandir, I noticed how everything just felt calm.
Even though there were other visitors around, there was this peaceful,
sacred energy in the air. It was one of those places where you can’t
help but slow down, take a deep breath, and just be.
If you ever find yourself anywhere near Robbinsville, make time for a
visit. Whether you’re passionate about architecture, love learning
about different cultures, or simply want to experience a moment of
peace, the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is truly something special,
and a hidden gem on a colossal scale. It’s the kind of place that
stays with you long after you leave.”
